Eritrean Naval Forces Seize Yemeni Fishermen off Mokha Coast

Mokha — Media outlets reported that Eritrean naval forces have detained 4 Yemeni fishermen and confiscated their boat and equipment off the coast of Mokha in the Red Sea.

According to the sources, the fishermen were intercepted while operating near Yemeni waters, before being taken into custody by Eritrean patrol units. 

The incident highlights ongoing tensions in the Red Sea, where Yemeni fishing communities have repeatedly complained of harassment and seizures by foreign naval forces.
